Gorgon
Stheno the Mighty, Euryale the Wide-Leaping, and Medusa the Queen were known as the 3 Gorgon Sisters of Ancient Greek Mythology. The beautiful Medusa, cursed and transformed by that lunatic Athena as punishment for having the nerve to be assaulted by Poseiden at one of her temples, was murdered and her head stolen by the dim-witted pawn, Perseus.
From her bleeding neck hole sprang Pegasus and Chrysoar, the blood from one ear said to be as potent as the deadliest venom, while the blood from the other ear could raise the dead. The blood that dripped from her head and onto the sands of Libya birthed snakes, and is the supposed cause of Libya’s abundance of serpents.
After Medusa’s murder, her sisters Stheno and Euryale wailed and cried, inspiring that witch Athena to create the flute.
Like, Perseus, you can now own your own Gorgon head. Unlike Perseus, you’re not a snot nosed lil git, puppet of the king who wanted to bang his mom.
This wall-hanger is cast in resin from an original GoblinDriver sculpture. Hand-cast, hand-painted, numbered and signed, the Gorgon head celebrates the power and tragedy of Medusa the Queen.
